Super Eagles Make Slight Progress In Fifa Ranking

On Thursday morning, the governing body of football, Fifa, published the updated ranking of national teams.<br /><br />Compared to their position the previous month, the Super Eagles have climbed one place, and now occupy the 62nd position. In the continental ranking, Nigeria are eleventh. <br /><br />Cape Verde Islands, Ivory Coast, Algeria, Ghana and Tunisia are the top five teams in Africa in that order.<br /><br />Our rivals to book a ticket to the next African Nations Cup - Egypt, Tanzania and Chad - are placed 53rd, 125th and 127th in the world ranking.<br /><br />The top three performers in January -Belgium, Argentina and Spain- have maintained their positions in the rankings, with Germany and Chile completing the top five countries in the world.<br /><br />The next ranking will be published by the official website of Fifa, fifa.com on April 7, 2016.<br /><br /><u><b>Top Ten African Teams<br /></b></u><br />1) Cape Verde Islands<br />2) Ivory Coast<br />3) Algeria<br />4) Ghana<br />5)Tunisia<br />6) Senegal<br />7) Egypt<br />8) Congo DR<br />9) Congo<br />10)Cameroon<u><b><br /><br /></b></u><br />
