Brøndby have confirmed, through official channels, that Nigeria international Emmanuel Dennis is currently training with the Danish Superliga side as discussions continue over a potential transfer.
The 28-year-old forward is a free agent after leaving English Premier League club Nottingham Forest at the end of August.
Should Dennis demonstrate that he is in good physical condition, a reunion with former Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper could be on the cards at Brøndby.
Dennis featured prominently under Cooper during their time at Forest, making 25 appearances, scoring two goals and providing three assists.
"Emmanuel Dennis is a player Steve knows very well from their time together in England, which made it an obvious decision to bring him in," said Brøndby football director Benjamin Schmedes.
"We will be looking at each other over the next few days, where we will, among other things, have physical training and tests that can give us an impression of what condition Dennis is in.
"If it bears fruit, the initial idea is that Dennis will fly to Spain on Sunday and participate in the first half of our training camp,."
During his spell at Nottingham Forest, Dennis had loan stints with İstanbul Başakşehir and Watford in the 2023–2024 season, before joining Blackburn Rovers on loan for the second half of the 2024–2025 campaign.
