Everton star Alex Iwobi has revealed that he is most comfortable playing in the number ten role but has stressed that he is willing to play in any position he is assigned by manager Marco Silva.
Playing as an attacking midfielder, the Nigeria international impressed as the Toffees beat West Ham 2-0 in the Premier League on Saturday, creating two chances and found his target with 82.8 per cent of 24 passes in West Ham's half – the highest ratio among Everton’s starters.
These days, Iwobi mostly operates as a left winger and has played as a center forward, support striker, right winger and attacking midfielder for club and country.
On what Silva told him when he was handed playmaking duties against the Hammers, Iwobi told Everton's official website : ''The manager told me try to get the team going forward as quickly as possible but also keep the ball and create chances and I felt I would be able to do that.
''That position is where I have grown up playing and where I feel most comfortable.
''I will play wherever I am told to but I really enjoyed it today.''
Hale End Academy product Iwobi made his fourth league start for Everton against West Ham and was shortlisted for the Man of the Match, an award eventually won by Yerry Mina.
