Prolific Trabzonspor striker Paul Onuachu is in line to equal the longest scoring streak of his professional career as Trabzonspor prepare to face Kayserispor in the Turkish Super Lig on Monday, March 9.
The Nigeria international scored in seven consecutive league matches during the 2020-2021 season while wearing the colours of Racing Genk.
Having already scored against OH Leuven, Sint-Truiden and Royal Antwerp in the Jupiler Pro League, the towering striker extended his run during the playoffs, finding the net in four consecutive matches against Antwerp, Club Brugge, Anderlecht, and Antwerp once again.
This impressive streak began on April 5, 2021 and concluded on May 15, 2021.
The FC Ebedei graduate claimed the Belgian First Division A Top Goalscorer award, Belgian Professional Footballer of the Year, Belgian Golden Shoe, and Ebony Shoe honours, following his outstanding performances during the 2020-2021 season.
Since returning from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Onuachu has scored in six consecutive Süper Lig matches and needs just one goal against Kayserispor to equal the longest scoring streak of his career, a personal best he set five years ago.
With 18 goals to his name, the former Southampton and Midtjylland man is the leading scorer in the Turkish top-flight, netting two goals more than Basaksehir FK's Uzbekistan centre-forward Eldor Shomurodov.
