Nigeria winger Chidera Ejuke has praised the Super Eagles’ commitment, discipline, and mental preparation following their victory over Uganda, describing the performance as a moment of pride for the team and the nation.
Speaking after the match, Ejuke said the players were determined to give their best and continue making the country proud.
He emphasized that the squad remains focused on maintaining the same level of dedication as they move forward.
“Very proud. We are doing our best and making the country proud and we keep going like this,” he said.
The Sevilla winger highlighted the importance of consistency and trust in the tactical approach laid out by the coaching staff, noting that the players’ willingness to stick to instructions has been key to their recent success.
“To be honest, I think we are doing everything that is asked of us by the coach, we are following the game plan, we just keep doing that, repeating the same thing.”
Ejuke also spoke about the excitement of competing at this level, stressing that while the occasion is always special, winning remains the top priority.
“I mean it is always exciting playing in this competition. Like I said, the most important thing is to win and we are doing that,” he said.
