Watford Reject Chance To Sign Ex-Barcelona Youth Team Skipper & Nigeria U23 Defender

Premier League club Watford have passed up the opportunity to sign free agent Godswill Ekpolo.<br /><br />According to WD Sports, the Hornets hierarchy rejected the chance to acquire the right wing-back in order not to stall the progress of David Sesay and&nbsp;Andrew Eleftheriou.<br /><br />It is thought that the Barcelona product impressed against Hull City U23s despite Watford conceding four goals. <br /><br />Born in Benin City, Ekpolo has been on the lookout for a new employer following his release by Barca in the summer, and tried his luck at <span>Wolverhampton Wanderers after he was recommended by Seyi Olofinjana but nothing came out of it.<br /><br />The 21-year-old first played for the Nigerian U23 national team in a friendly against Brazil in March. <br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel <br /></span>
