Joe Aribo was delighted with Glasgow Rangers' hard-fought 1-0 win against Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership on Boxing Day, a game in which he went the distance along with fellow Nigeria international Leon Balogun.
Steven Gerrard's side secured their 18th win from 20 matches in the division thanks to Ianis Hagi's game-winning goal in the 33rd minute.
Aribo, who was one of the standout players for the Light Blues, noted that they had to be patient when going forward and they were eventually rewarded with a win despite late pressure from the visitors.
Speaking to Rangers TV post-match, the left-footed midfielder said : "I am buzzing and the boys are buzzing too. We needed to get that result today and we needed to put in a good performance.
"We stayed solid together, we were under the cosh a little bit but we did what we had to do.
"No two games are the same and we just need to go out there in every single game and have the right mindset and just push through.
"We knew we had to be patient on the ball and make five, six seven passes and try to break through them and that is what we managed to do and we got the goal through that."
Up next for Aribo and his teammates, they are guests to St. Mirren on Wednesday, December 30.
