West Ham United have firmed up their interest in Nigeria national teamer Terem Moffi by making a bid for his signature.
According to Sky Sports, the Hammers made a £20m bid plus £5m in performance-related add-ons (totaling N13.9 billion in Nigerian currency) on Sunday afternoon for the Lorient hitman.
When the 23-year-old found the back of the net against Marseille on Saturday, he took his tally for the season to twelve goals in eighteen matches, bettered only by PSG scoring sensation Kylian Mbappe.
West Ham are in the relegation zone as they sit eighteenth in the table with fifteen points from nineteen matches ahead of the visit of Everton to the London Stadium on Saturday, January 21.
David Moyes' team have struggled for goals this season having netted fifteen times and only Wolverhampton Wanders have scored fewer goals in the Premier League.
Moffi is also drawing interest from the likes of OGC Nice and Southampton but West Ham are believed to be in pole position for his services as they have offered more money than their rivals.
The nine-cap Nigeria international is under contract with Lorient until June 30, 2024.
