Versatile Reading midfielder Emmanuel Osho has been nominated for the Premier League 2 (PL2) Player of the Month award for January 2026.
Emmanuel is the younger brother of Reading academy graduate and Super Eagles central defender Gabriel Osho, who is now cap-tied to Nigeria after his competitive debut in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Republic of Benin in November 2024.
The 18-year-old, also a product of the Reading academy, has been recognized for his excellent performances in the Premier League 2.
Last month, Emmanuel Osho appeared in four matches in the Premier League 2, providing two assists to help the Royals beat Blackburn Rovers and Burnley.
Osho has been nominated alongside Kieran Morrison (Liverpool), Shim Mheuka (Chelsea), Matty Warhurst (Manchester City), Keyrol Figueroa (Liverpool), Reggie Walsh (Chelsea), Tom Olyott (Fulham) and Ármin Pécsi (Liverpool).
Osho's first taste of senior action came in a Carabao Cup clash with Colchester United in August 2024, starting at fullback in a youthful Reading side that fell on penalties.
He went on to feature six times across all competitions last term, making his league debut against Cambridge United in December 2024.
The nominees have been selected by the Premier League Football Development Panel, who will also decide the winner, with the result being announced next week.
