Nigeria Jersey Numbers Revealed: Akpeyi Gets No. 1, Madu 3, Etebo 8, Mikel 10, Umar 13

The Nigeria Football Federation has announced the jersey numbers of the 22 players heading to Brazil for the Olympic Games.
And based on the kit numbers allocated, everything is pointing to the fact that Chippa United netminder Daniel Akpeyi will be in between the pipes when Nigeria U23s tackle Japan in their opener on August 4 as he has been handed the number one jersey.
The iconic number ten shirt which is usually reserved for the star player in a team will be worn by Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel.
Samson Siasia has also strongly hinted that Kingsley Madu is his preferred choice at left back as the AS Trencin defender will play with the number three jersey whereas Stanley Amuzie will wear number 16.
The number two and four jerseys were handed to Sincere Seth and Abdullahi Shehu respectively, another indication that they are likely to make his starting XI.
Al Arabi striker Imoh Ezekiel will wear the number nine kit while number eight goes to Oghenekaro Etebo.
