AFC Wimbledon Coach Full Of Praise For His Number Ten Akinfenwa

AFC Wimbledon manager Neal Ardley reserved special praise for Adebayo Akinfenwa following his strike against Accrington Stanley<span class="_xJh"> in the Football League Two Semi-final</span>, <span class="_xJh">Game 2 on Wednesday night.<br /><br />The Dons have set up a meeting with Plymouth Argyle in the playoff final at Wembley after playing out a 2-2 draw with </span>Stanley at Crown Ground, with Akinfenwa registering his name on the score sheet in the 68th minute after coming on as a substitute.<br /><br />&ldquo;We went with three up front to be brave and got Bayo&rsquo;s goal after wonderful work from Barry Fuller,&rdquo; said Ardley to the official website of AFC Wimbledon, afcwimbledon.co.uk.<br /><br />&ldquo;Bayo&rsquo;s goal was typical of him and it put the tie in the balance. <br /><br />&ldquo;I just felt with our energy that if we kept on driving forward we could go on and achieve what we wanted to achieve.&rdquo;<br /><br />Including the playoffs, Akinfenwa has scored seven goals in the division this season and was on target against Plymouth Argyle in April. <br /><br />Igho Kingsley<br /><br />Photo Credit : afcwimbledon.co.uk
