Paris Saint-Germain youngsters Warren Zaïre-Emery and Désiré Doué have etched their names into the UEFA Champions League record books, joining Super Eagles legend Nwankwo Kanu in an exclusive list of precocious talents to reach a major semi-final milestone before the age of 21.

The French youngsters were named in the starting lineup as the Ligue 1 champions played out a 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final, securing qualification for the final in Budapest with a 6-5 aggregate victory.

The duo's appearance from the start saw them join an elite group of players who have started four Champions League semi-finals before turning 21.

According to Squawka, they become the fourth and fifth players to reach the milestone, alongside legendary figures such as Nwankwo Kanu, Iker Casillas, and David Alaba.

Kanu, a former Super Eagles captain, achieved the feat during his early years with Ajax, playing key roles in semi-final clashes during the 1994/95 and 1995/96 campaigns.

The retired Nigeria international featured in two-legged semi-final clashes against Bayern Munich during the 1994/1995 season and against Panathinaikos in the 1995/1996 campaign.

The 49-year-old, who earned 86 caps for Nigeria, went on to win the UEFA Champions League title with Ajax before sealing a move to Inter Milan in 1996.
