Agent Dismisses Fanendo Adi West Ham Link; Work Permit May Scupper Move To Crystal Palace
A representative of Fanendo Adi has dismissed reports linking the Portland Timbers striker with a switch to West Ham, and admitted that he might not be granted a work permit since he has not represented Nigeria internationally.<br /><br />St. Etienne in France plus teams based in Germany, Belgium and China are mulling over a move for the former Dynamo Kiev frontman ahead of the reopening of the transfer window, according to his intermediary.<br /><br />“There is nothing concrete. Agents called us regarding Crystal Palace but no bid has been made for sure,” Adi’s rep told <b>allnigeriasoccer.com</b>. <br /><br />“St. Etienne is interested in Adi but can’t pay such money, two German clubs and one in Belgium also want him.<br /><br />“Crystal Palace showed interest but we are not sure he can play in England because of difficulties getting a work permit.”<br /><br />Fanendo Adi penned a new deal with Portland Timbers in March which will see him remain at the club until 2019.<br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel<br /><br /><br />
