Alex Iwobi To Travel To USA With Arsenal For MLS All-Star Game
Super Eagles striker Alex Iwobi will travel to the United States with the Arsenal team in July for the 2016 AT&T MLS All-Star Game if he is not farmed out on loan in the summer.<br /><br />Major League Soccer announced on Thursday that the English Premiership giants will compete against the finest footballers in the American top-flight at Avaya Stadium in San Jose on Thursday, July 28.<br /><br />In recent years, Premier League sides Manchester United, Everton, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have participated in the MLS All-Star Game.<br /><br />In 2015, Tottenham Hotspur<span class="body1"><span class="body1">’s Anglo-Nigerian midfielders </span></span>Dele Alli and Josh Onomah featured in the MLS All-Star Game, while Obafemi Martins had to withdraw from the roster after failing to recover from injury.<br /><br />Other players of Nigerian descent that have played in the showpiece game include David Alaba (Bayern Munich), John Obi Mikel (Chelsea), Joseph Yobo (Everton) and Carlton Cole(West Ham).<br />
