Trabzonspor will look to rediscover their winning form when they face Konyaspor in a Turkish Super Lig match on Monday evening, with attention once again turning to Paul Onuachu as the Black Sea club aim to halt a worrying dip in results.

The Nigerian striker, who had been in sensational form following his return from the Africa Cup, scored 13 goals in 11 of his 12 official appearances, including two in cup competitions. 

However, that prolific run has come to a halt, coinciding with Trabzonspor's recent struggles in front of goal and results.

Onuachu missed the away clash against Alanyaspor due to injury, a match in which Trabzonspor were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw. 

The following week, the FC Ebedei product returned to the starting line-up against Başakşehir but was unable to get on the scoresheet as Trabzonspor again failed to secure victory. 

Their struggles continued in the Turkish Cup against Samsunspor, where the tie ended goalless after extra time before Trabzonspor progressed via penalties.

The recent run has highlighted the team's reliance on Onuachu's goals, with results with results proving less favourable when he fails to score. 

Manager Fatih Tekke named three Nigerians in his travelling squad to Konyaspor, including Onuachu, Chibuike Nwaiwu and Anthony Nwakaeme.
