Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun has earned praises from his teammates past and present following his hat-trick against Brighton & Hove in a Premier League 2 fixture at Meadow Park on Friday night.
Owing to the fact that his contract expires at the end of the season, there is speculation linking the Hale End Academy product with an exit from his boyhood club come the summer.
However, those rumours are not affecting him as he was in his element against the Seagulls, scoring his first treble of the season in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
Shortly after the game, Balogun took to Instagram to celebrate his hat-trick, posting : "Great team effort tonight! 3 more goals 🥶🚨".
The post has been liked 31,674 times and drew reactions from ex-Arsenal trainees Tobi Omole and Malcolm Ebiowei, Emile Smith Rowe, Miguel Azeez, Joseph Olowu, James Olayinka, Tyreece John-Jules, Bukayo Saka, Ben Cottrell, Zech Medley and Vontae Daley-Campbell among others.
Here's how the Nigeria-eligible players reacted to Balogun's hat-trick :
