Arsenal Identify Real Madrid-Owned Left-Back As Potential Replacement For Saka

Arsenal could be preparing for life without their coveted winger Bukayo Saka, and have set their sights on a potential transfer for Real Madrid-owned left-back Sergio Reguilon.

According to Daily Star UK, the Premier League club have moved ahead to make contact with the Spanish giants for the signing of Reguilon who is spending this season at Sevilla.

The Gunners fear their chances of tying down their wonderkid have become slimmer as a number of elite clubs including Manchester United, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool and Bayern Munich have expressed their interest in recruiting the services of the Nigeria-eligible teenager.

However, it is claimed that Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane will only sanction any deal for the 23-year-old if he observes him in pre-season and makes his final decision.

Saka who is valued in the region of 20 million euros has a contract with the Emirates stadium-outfit until the end of the 2020-2021 season, and has seen contract renewal talks with the club stall due to the corona virus pandemic.

While his potential replacement has contributed four assists and scored once in 25 outings so far, Saka has ten assists to his name in 29 games and three goals to boot.
