According to Football.London, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton and Bournemouth attempted to sign Faustino Anjorin without success before the attacking midfielder was poached by Chelsea at the age of seven.

 
The Saints were eager to get a deal over the line after Anjorin impressed in an U8s training game between Southampton and Liverpool despite being the youngest player on the pitch for the south coast club.

"Tino is five at this point but there he was pulling on a shirt to play Liverpool’s Under-8s – he might still be the youngest kid to have played for Southampton. But again he held his own; he scored within about five minutes," Faustino's dad, Sheriff Anjorin said.
