Chuba Akpom Named MLS ASG MVP Ahead Of Drogba, Kaka, Oxlade-Chamberlain & Campbell
Chuba Akpom was on target in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over the MLS All-Stars at Avaya Stadium on Friday morning. <br /><br />The England U21 international was officially named the Most Valuable Player of the 2016 AT&T All-Star Game after scoring the game-winner for the Gunners with three minutes remaining. <br /><br />He picked up the accolade ahead of more illustrious names such as Drogba, Pirlo, Kaka, David Villa, Giovinco, Cech , Oxlade-Chamberlain and Campbell<br /><br />Akpom’s 87th minute strike was his fourth goal for Arsenal, all of them coming in noncompetitive fixtures, having notched a hat-trick as the Emirates outfit thrashed Singapore XI 4-0 on July 15, 2015.<br /><br />The Hale End Academy product has been at Arsenal since the age of six and has enjoyed loan spells at Brentford, Coventry City, Nottingham Forest and Hull City.<br /><br />Igho Kingsley <br /><br />Photo Credit : arsenal.com<br />
