Chukwuani takes his Rangers tally to three in 9-goal thriller against Falkirk

In a high-scoring match against Falkirk that had nine goals altogether, Super Eagles-eligible midfielder Tochi Chukwuani was among the scorers as Rangers secured a 6-3 win.

The former Denmark U21 international was among the three Nigerian players picked in Rangers' starting lineup by manager Danny Röhl, alongside Super Eagles centre-back Emmanuel Fernandez and Brentford-owned left-back Jayden Jayden Meghoma.

Rangers made a poor start, conceding twice early as Falkirk scored through Benjamin Braggio and Finn Yeats.

Despite attempts to respond, Rangers struggled defensively and trailed by two goals before the half-hour mark.

Chukwuani reduced the deficit three minutes before half-time, finishing from close range after the ball rebounded off the far post into his path.

The Falkirk players claimed the ball had gone out of play before the Danish-Nigerian struck, but the goal stood after it was checked by the VAR.

Chukwuani has now netted three goals across all competitions in the second half of the season following his move to the Light Blues in the January transfer window.

The second half belonged to Rangers, with Bojan Miovski and Youssef Chermiti both netting braces and Nico Raskin also scoring.

Rangers are currently one point adrift of Hearts and two points clear of reigning champions Celtic in the Premiership table.
