Emmanuel Dennis has revealed that Getafe midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo taunted him that Club Brugge would lose heavily to Real Madrid before both teams faced off in this season's Champions League.
Against all odds, Club Brugge were on the cusp of victory after the Super Eagles star netted a first half brace, but Los Blancos managed to salvage a point thanks to Casemiro's late goal.
Dennis surprised the Santiago Bernabeu fans as he imitated Cristiano Ronaldo's famous goal celebration after scoring in the 39th minute, something which he had planned before the game.
Recollecting his goals vs Real Madrid, Dennis said on Instagram Live : "Me and Victor Osimhen were talking before the game because he plays in the Champions League and he said I'd score and I said I'll score and celebrate like Ronaldo and it would be crazy.
"We were playing then I scored and I did the celebration."
He added : "The game was not in my head, I'd scored, I have done the celebration. I wanted the game to end, I was in a hurry to speak to Osimhen and Etebo who told me Madrid will finish us. That's why I wanted us to win.
"After the game, Etebo told us we tried and congratulated me."
Dennis bagged an assist in the return leg against Real Madrid last December but Club Brugge lost 3-1 to the Spanish side.
