With a statement on the official website, Norwegian Eliteserien new boys Lillestrom have confirmed that versatile Nigerian wingback Uba Charles has been sold to Aalesund..

Charles was a player of LSK for three years, playing thirty-five games and was credited with three assists in all competitions.

The 23-year-old has decided to move on to pastures new due to a lack of first-team opportunities at Lillestrom, having made sixteen starts across his three seasons at the club.

Aalesund have acquired Uba before their away match against IK Start this weekend, offering him a deal until the end of the 2027 season.

He was a member of the Mjällby AIF squad that won the Swedish Allsvenskan in 2025, featuring in 12 games over the course of the season and scoring one goal in a 1-1 draw with Djurgården last August.

Charles is renowned for his pace, strength in duels, and ability to contribute effectively at both ends of the pitch along the flanks.

Apart from the aforementioned clubs, the Idol Football Academy product has worn the colours of Linköping City and Ljungskile in the past.

Ahead of a possible debut against IK Start, Charles has been assigned the number 14 jersey.
