Colchester United have bolstered their attack with the signing of Nigerian striker Sanmi Odelusi, writes the official website of the U's.

The free agent was offered a short-term contract, until January 2018, by the EFL League Two club following a successful trial.

The 24-year-old Odelusi played for the youth teams of Queens Park Rangers and Reading before he was acquired by Bolton Wanderers.

He enjoyed loan spells with MK Dons and Coventry City while on the books of Bolton Wanderers.

His other teams include Wigan Athletic, Rochdale and Blackpool.
