A day before the close of the winter transfer window in Turkey, Super Lig side Konyaspor have announced the signing of Belgian-born forward of Nigerian descent Kazeem Olaigbe.
The Trabzonspor-owned attacker has joined Konyaspor on loan for the remainder of the 2025-2026 season, with an option to buy included in the deal.
Born in Brussels, Olaigbe has represented his country of birth, Belgium, at U15, U16, U17, U19, U20, and U21 levels.
Although he is on the longlist of dual-national players monitored by Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle, the Southampton Academy graduate has expressed his intention to play for Belgium at senior level.
Ahead of a potential move in the winter transfer window, Olaigbe was absent from Trabzonspor’s last two matches, missing the Süper Lig clash with Antalyaspor and the cup tie against Fethiyespor.
Prior to this, he had been included in the squad for every game Trabzonspor played this season, 23 in total, and featured in 22 of them.
On his curriculum vitae, Olaigbe counts Anderlecht, Southampton, Ross County, Harrogate Town, Cercle Brugge and Rennes as his previous clubs.
For the remainder of the 2025-2026 season, the 23-year-old will wear the number 70 jersey at Konyaspor.
