Done deals: 1993 Armenian champions Ararat Yerevan sign five promising Nigerian players

Through official channels, 1993 Armenian Premier League champions Ararat Yerevan have announced the signing of five promising Nigerian players.

On Tuesday evening, The White Eagles unveiled Chiemerie Divine Ukadike, Okechukwu Precious Chukwu and Prince Obinna.

While Obinna and Okechukwu are midfielders, Ukadike is a left-back , who has worn the colours of Heartland FC and Enyimba in the past.

For the remainder of the 2025–2026 season, Ukadike, Okechukwu, and Obinna will don the numbers 32, 6 and 14 jerseys, respectively.

Ukadike, who brings a wealth of experience at just 21 years of age, will be a key presence in the squad, while both Okechukwu and Obinna are both 18.

Today, Wednesday, Ararat Yerevan continued their recruitment drive by announcing the signing of two more Nigerian players Handsome Akpan Alexander and Ayomide Enialafia.


A centre-back by trade, the 21-year-old Akpan will wear number 90, bringing physical presence and defensive skills that are expected to significantly strengthen Ararat’s defence.

Born on March 12, 2007, Enialafia, who has been handed the number 21 jersey, completes the quintet, joining as an wide midfielder.

The five players have joined Ararat Yerevan from Nigerian club Golden Boot.
