Borussia Dortmund have reportedly reignited their interest in PSV Eindhoven's Anglo-Nigerian wonderkid Nonso Madueke ahead of the reopening of the transfer window.
The online edition of German television channel Sport1 claims that Dortmund are in the market for a winger as a replacement for Jadon Sancho, who joined Manchester United this summer.
Madueke was heavily linked with a switch to the German Bundesliga club in the summer transfer window, his dad and agent visited Borussia Dortmund's training ground to fuel the speculations.
The England U21 international extended his contract at PSV around one month ago and it has been suggested that the Eindhoven club would allow him to leave for a fee of 40 million euros (N19.2 billion in Nigerian currency).
Madueke has a good assists and goalscoring record for PSV with a goal involvement of 24 (15 goals, 9 assists) in 50 appearances across all competitions.
The 19-year-old,
who is on the radar of the Nigeria Football Federation with a view to a
call-up to the Super Eagles, had stops at the youth teams of Crystal
Palace and Tottenham Hotspur prior to his switch to PSV in 2018.
His new deal with PSV expires at the end of the 2024-2025 season.
