Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira delivered a positive injury update on Michael Olise ahead of Monday's Premier League meeting with Liverpool at Anfield, confirming that the 2021 Super Eagles invitee is in contention to return to the squad.
The France U21 international of Nigerian descent played no part in the Eagles opening day loss to Arsenal because he was recovering from a foot injury.
Olise has apparently made a quick recovery from the injury he first suffered while on international duty in March given that Vieira stated last week that the winger was a couple of weeks away from returning to action.
The Reading academy product was not part of Palace's traveling squad to Singapore and Australia as a result of the ailment and didn't feature in any of the matches played during pre-season.
At the pre-match press conference, Vieira was asked about the availability of Olise, James McArthur and James Tomkins for Monday's clash versus Liverpool.
The Gunners legend told reporters : "Michael trained all week with the team so there's a chance he will be in the squad. Regarding the other two players, it will be too short for them".
Despite his injury troubles at the back end of last season, Olise registered 26 appearances in his maiden season in the Premier League, scoring two goals and bagging five assists.
