Efan Ekoku SAD Over Wilfried Bony Manchester City Move
Retired Super Eagles forward Efan Ekoku says he is unhappy that Ivory Coast international Wilfried Bony chose Manchester City over Liverpool. <br /><br />Bony has penned a four - and - a - half year deal with The Citizens, with the English Premier League champions expected to pay Swansea City at least 25 million pounds for agreeing to sell their key player.<br /><br />“If I’m being honest I’m disappointed because he’s not going to get the game time that I think he deserves. <br /><br />“<span itemprop="articleBody">The qualities that he’s shown over the last two seasons in the Premier League deserve a regular place</span>,” said Efan Ekoku to London Evening Standard.<br /><span itemprop="articleBody"><br /></span>The former Wimbledon striker went on : “You’d hope that the player would be smart enough to say ‘Okay, Liverpool may not be winning the championship this season but they’ve got a good chance qualifying for the Champions League.<br /><br />“He’d certainly be ahead of Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert for example but who knows maybe Liverpool weren’t interested.”<br /><br />Wilfried Bony is the third Ivorian player bought by Man City in recent years, following the footsteps of Yaya Toure and Kolo Toure.<br /><br />Photo Credit : ex - canaries.co.uk<br />
