'His value has doubled' - Galatasaray vice president suggests Osimhen's price tag is now N238.6b

Speaking to the Italian press before Galatasaray's crucial UEFA Champions League knockout phase playoff clash with Juventus in Turin, vice president of the Turkish champions Abdullah Kavukcu has suggested that the market value of Victor Osimhen has doubled.

The former Napoli striker signed a permanent deal with the Lion last summer after his 75 million euros release clause was activated.

Abdullah Kavukcu has indicated that Osimhen could now be worth in the region of 150 million euros (approximately N238.6 billion in Nigerian currency) amid interest from Europe's elite clubs.

In recent weeks, the Super Eagles star has been linked with a departure from Galatasaray at the end of the season, with the likes of Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich all credited with an interest.

This season, Osimhen has scored 15 goals and provided five assists in 23 appearances for Galatasaray, showcasing the pace, power and finishing that make him one of the world's most feared centre-forwards.

Galatasaray paid €75 million to secure Victor Osimhen's signature, a figure that raised eyebrows at the time.

"When we bought him, many people talked about it as a crazy investment. I think Victor proved everyone wrong, considering his value has doubled," Abdullah Kavukcu said to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"We know he's one of the best centre-forwards in the world, and we want to achieve great things together."

Osimhen's record against Juventus speaks for itself, with six victories and only two defeats in his eight outings against the Serie A powerhouse.
