Iheanacho, Iwobi, Ighalo, Mikel Know Premier League Opponents On Opening Day Of The Season

The Premier League announced the schedule for the 2016-2017 campaign on Wednesday morning, and there are some interesting matchups involving players of Nigerian descent on the opening day, August 13, 2016.<br /><br />If Alex Iwobi is not with the Olympic squad in Brazil, he will welcome England youth internationals Jordon Ibe and Sheyi Ojo to the Emirates. <br /><br />Another player that is being touted to make the Nigeria U23s squad is John Obi Mikel, meaning he will not be available for selection when Chelsea face Angelo Ogbonna&rsquo;s West Ham in a London derby.<br /><br />The same applies to Kelechi Iheanacho of Manchester City, he might be on international duty when the Citizens face Sunderland at the Etihad Stadium.<br /><br />Odion Ighalo and Ikechi Anya will be hoping to be in the Watford squad that will play Southampton at St. Mary&rsquo;s Stadium. <br /><br />Finally, three players of Nigerian descent - Ross Barkley, Dele Alli and Josh Onomah- could be involved in action when Tottenham Hotspur take on Everton at <span>Goodison Park in one of the standout fixtures. </span><br /><br /><u><b>Opening Day Fixtures August 13</b></u><br /><br />A.F.C.
