Iheanacho Welcomes Return Of Man City Teammate Yaya Toure
Kelechi Iheanacho has expressed joy at the return of ex-African Footballer of the Year Yaya Toure to the starting line-up of Manchester City in their hard fought 2-1 win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.<br /><br />Before today’s meeting at Selhurst Park, Toure was frozen out of the team by City manager Pep Guardiola after his agent was embroiled in a war of the wards with the Spaniard over the omission of the midfielder from the Champions League roster. <br /><br />The Ivorian had to apologize to Guardiola to bring an end to the dispute, following the controversial statements made by his agent, Dimitri Seluk.<br /><br />On 39 minutes, he opened scoring after his effort was deflected past the goalkeeper, then netted the winner in the 82nd minute with a close range effort after the home team restored parity. <br /><br /><span>“He</span><span>’s back yaya yaya #yayatoure great team spirit we fight to the end #mcfc💙 ,</span><span></span><span><span><span></span><span>” Iheanacho said in a social media post.<br /><br />The Nigeria international was among the four Manchester City substitutes that did not come off the bench, while Yaya Toure played the full game. <br /><br />Igho Kingsley <br /><br />Photo Credit : mancity.com<br /></span></span></span>
