'I'll give every defender a hard time' - Osimhen warns Juventus ahead of UCL showdown in Turin

Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has issued a strong warning to Juventus, declaring himself a nightmare for defenders ahead of the crucial UEFA Champions League showdown in Turin on Wednesday.

Osimhen, who completed a permanent move to the Yellow-Reds in the summer, played a decisive role in the first leg as Galatasaray cruised to a 5-1 victory at RAMS Park.

Although he did not get on the scoresheet, the Nigerian forward registered two assists and consistently troubled the Italian club’s defence with his attacking presence.

Speaking during the press conference, Osimhen expressed confidence in his ability to continue causing problems for defenders.

"The defenders, when they have to face Osimhen, are a nightmare for all of them. I expect this attitude in every match I play; it will never be easy, and I know they'll try to limit me and the team," he said as reported by Tuttomercatoweb

However, he warned the defenders to not focus only on him, noting that the team had scored five goals even though he did not get on the scoresheet.

"I'm not the only one who can cause damage; five goals were scored and I didn't score. The threat will come from the entire team. I'm ready to face all the defenders and I'll try to manage the situation and chase down all the defenders. I'm ready; I'll give every defender a hard time.," he added.

Osimhen also addressed speculation about a possible future move to Juventus, admitting he previously held an interest in joining the Serie A side.

"Juventus is one of the most important clubs, they're rich in history and have a lot of legends who have played for them. When they spoke to me at the time, I was eager to come before Galatasaray showed up, but there were a few obstacles.

"That move ultimately didn't happen, but if there are opportunities in the future, there are several clubs I'd like to play for. Playing here would be a privilege; it's ideal for a player. But I'm happy at the club I'm at; I love Galatasaray very much.

"I don't know what will happen in the future. 90% of footballers in the world would like to play for Juventus," he said.

The 27-year-old, who missed the Konyaspor clash due to a knee issue and was considered a doubt for the decisive fixture, has now rejoined team training and is expected to be available for the showdown against the Italian side.

Osimhen’s recovery comes as a major boost for the Super Lig champions as they push for qualification to the Round of 16.
