Kelechi Iheanacho says he is delighted to be the first player in English football to be awarded a goal through a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) decision.
The Nigeria international achieved the feat in a third round FA Cup replay against Fleetwood Town in January 2018.
Iheanacho's goal was initially disallowed by referee Jonathan Moss but his decision was overturned after consulting the VAR.
"It’s the Fleetwood game, the cup game – the first VAR goal in English football," Iheanacho told LCFC TV.
"I’m happy to be part of it and to be a Leicester player to achieve that. It’s a great moment for me."
This season, the Super Eagles striker scored a dramatic 94th winner against Everton in the Premier League, awarded by the referee after the use of technology.
"That should be my moment of the season, to be fair. I can’t describe how I felt that day, but it was absolutely outstanding, that day.
"Everyone was happy and we enjoyed that moment, so it was a great moment for me, especially for the squad, for Leicester City.
"It was a great moment, so that should be a moment of the season," Iheanacho added.
Iheanacho has been in good form this season, with a hand in 12 goals (8 goals, 4 assists) in 18 appearances across all competitions, leading to a recall to the national team for the AFCON qualifiers against Sierra Leone which was later postponed by CAF.
