Italy Coach Antonio Conte Explains Reason For Snubbing Stefano Okaka
Speaking at a press conference ahead of Italy’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Croatia, national team boss Antonio Conte has acknowledged that Sampdoria forward Stefano Okaka has been impressive this season.<br /><br />However, the manager noted that he could not hand him an invitation to the Azzurri because he had other options in attack.<br /><br />“He’s doing well, as Matri and Quagliarella. I chose Balotelli because we followed him, he always tried to do his best.<br /><br /> “If every three minutes in Serie A had to summon all, then it would not be an ambition to arrive at the National, ” Conte said.<br /><br />Stefano Okaka has totaled 12 appearances for the youth teams of Italy, scoring 4 goals in the process.<br /><br />He was born in Castiglione del Lago, Italy 25 years ago to parents, who are both Nigerians.<br /><br />Photo Credit : asromalive.it<br />
