French Ligue 1 club Lille are on the verge of announcing the signing of Turkey international striker Burak Yilmaz.

Lille are in the market for offensive reinforcements following the departure of ex-Chelsea striker Loïc Rémy while Victor Osimhen's proposed move to Napoli is still in the works.

Fabrizio Romano has tweeted that Lille have reached an agreement with Besiktas for the signing of Yilmaz and the player has also agreed personal terms.

The 35-year-old Turk will put pen to paper on a two-year deal, keeping him at Les Dogues until June 2022, and he'll be the replacement of Victor Osimhen who's joining Napoli, the Italian transfer market expert added.

Yilmaz who has also represented Istanbul clubs Fenerbahce and Galatasaray has scored 187 career goals from 323 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig while setting up 44 others.

He has played 59 matches for Turkey national team and netted 24 goals.
