Nigeria-eligible defender lands in London this evening ahead of signing 5-year Tottenham deal

Italian transfer market guru Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Italian-born wingback of Nigerian descent Destiny Udogie is on the verge of completing a transfer from Udinese to Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.

The report states that Udogie will be landing in London this evening at 2000 hours with his medical examinations scheduled for 'the coming week'.

The lightning defender will put pen on a five-year deal with Tottenham Hotspur but will be immediately loaned back to Udinese for the remainder of the current season before returning to his parent club next summer.

Udogie was a priority target for Spurs with a host of other clubs being interested in his signature.

The 19-year-old improved his market value after a fantastic season with Udinese in which he scored five goals and assisted three more in 35 appearances.

The Italian-Nigerian has four years left on his contract with the Bianconeri and has played for Italy at the U16,  U17, U18, U19 and U21 levels.

He helped the Italians reach the final of the 2019 U17 European Championship.
