Kelechi Iheanacho was delighted to score his 18th goal in a Manchester City shirt in their 1-1 draw with Southampton in the Premier League on Sunday, and admitted that his introduction sparked life into his team&rsquo;s attack.<br /><br />After falling 1-0 at the end of forty five minutes and looking for a reaction, Pep Guardiola&rsquo;s second half substitution paid dividends, with the Nigeria international hitting target nine minutes after the restart. <br /><br />&ldquo;It&rsquo;s just what I need to do as a football player, so I need to come in and bring life, &rdquo; Iheanacho told City&rsquo;s official website in his post match comments. <br /><br />&ldquo;If I am starting or If I am coming in,&nbsp; ready to play and ready to go in there and run in the box, run everywhere get the ball.<br /><br />&ldquo;To bring life to the team, that&rsquo;s what we need so that&rsquo;s what I came in to do. &rdquo;<br /><br />Iheanacho, 20, has netted six goals in total for club and country since the start of this season following his strike against the Saints at the Etihad Stadium. <br /><br />Igho Kingsley <br /><br />
