Nigerian Wonderkid Steals The Headlines With Hat-Trick For Chelsea Against Spurs In FAYC
Chelsea have qualified for their sixth straight FA Youth Cup final after thrashing Tottenham Hotspur 7-1 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.<br /><br />England youth internationals Ike Ugbo and Tariq Uwakwe were named in the starting line-up for Chelsea, Timothy Eyoma started for Spurs and teammate Keanan Bennetts was on the bench.<br /><br />Of the four players of Nigerian descent mentioned, it was Ugbo who stole headlines after scoring a hat-trick to take his tally in the competition to eight goals this campaign. <br /><br />The 18-year-old opened the scoring with a close-range finish on four minutes, converted his penalty to give Chelsea a three-goal lead heading into the interval, then found the bottom corner to complete his hat-trick in the 68th minute. <br /><br />Chalobah, Sterling, Hudson-Odoi and Castillo grabbed a goal each for the defending champions, while Roles pulled a goal back for the visitors after 70 minutes. <br /><br />Chelsea will either face Manchester City or Stoke City in the final, with the Citizens winning the semifinal first leg 6-0<br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel <br /><br />Photo Credit : thefa.com<br />
