John Kim&rsquo;s second minute goal was all Plateau United needed to claim a 1-0 victory over highly spirited Kogi United in a match witnessed by a large crowd including Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong on Saturday.<br /><br />The Confluence State club threw all the could to level up but were denied by a slippery pitch as a result of heavy down pour and a near perfect defending by the Plateau United.<br /><br />Head Coach of Kogi United, Fatai Osho who wasn&rsquo;t happy with the result believed his side deserved at least a point in Jos noting that all hope is not lost for his side to remain in the NNL.<br /><br />&ldquo;Actually my prayer is that we should escape the drop, I mean this team can actually get a promotion to the Premier League next season, I&rsquo;m so sure about that. <br /><br />&ldquo;I will stay with this team, I&rsquo;m not so happy this time around because we should have at least get a point from here, you can believe that with what the fans are saying but I&rsquo;m so sure by next season, the people of Kogi State will be happy they have a team to challenge for top places.<br /><br />&ldquo;The officiating was excellent today, I&rsquo;ve experienced this before while at Remo Stars when we won in Port Harcourt (against Delta Force) with two games to go and the top referees did well then, that&rsquo;s what we had today and I hope those we have in<br />the NNL will be doing something like this,&rdquo; the former Supreme Court Technical Adviser said.<br /><br />Coach Osho however remained optimistic that the Wada Boys could end the season on a high adding that they will fight till the end.<br /><br />Assistant Coach of Plateau United, Mansur Abdullahi admitted that the Jos based side were lucky as Kogi United stretched his boys till the last minutes of the game.<br /><br />Kogi United, who are still awaiting the decision of the NFF a on their stalemated match against Adamawa United will be hosting Jigawa Golden Stars in the final fixtures in Lokoja on Saturday.
