Bolton Wanderers have confirmed that Manchester United winger of Nigerian descent, Shola Shoretire has returned to Manchester United after the expiration of his loan term.

This is according to a statement on the club's official website which reads thus:

"Loan players James Trafford, Conor Bradley, Luke Mbete, Shola Shoretire and Dan Nlundulu return to their parent clubs following the end of their temporary stays with the Whites"

Shoretire joined Bolton in the January transfer window to gain more first-team opportunities and more experience.

The Anglo-Nigerian player made his debut in Bolton's 4-1 loss to Derby County on January 21 when he came on as a second-half substitute for the last 27 minutes of the game.

The 19-year-old made his first start for the club in the next game against Forest Green Rovers and lasted 72 minutes on the pitch.

The Manchester United acaemy product scored one goal for the Wanderers which he bagged in the 3-2 win over Bristol Rovers one the final day of the regular season,  and also notched two assists in a 5-0 thumping of Peterborough United.

Shoretire made 16 appearances for the club, starting twelve games and coming on as a substitute on four occasions.
