Premier League club Aston Villa announced on Friday that talented midfielder of Nigerian descent Tim Iroegbunam has committed his future to the Lions by signing a new deal.
Iroegbunam has put pen to paper on a contract that will keep him at Villa Park until the end of the 2026-2027 season.
The 18-year-old has now become a full-time member of Steven Gerrard's first-team squad.
A product of West Brom's academy, he received his first call-up to the England U19 squad on Friday ahead of EURO qualifiers against Republic of Ireland (March 23), Armenia (March 26) and Portugal (March 29).
Iroegbunam was on the books of the Baggies for approximately a decade before joining Aston Villa as an academy signing last summer.
Since the start of December, he has been included in West Brom's matchday squad for Premier League games on thirteen occasions and made his senior debut off the bench against Brighton & Hove on February 26.
He was a non-playing substitute for West Brom in their final Premier League game of the season in May 2021
