Southampton U23s kicked off their Premier League 2 season with a 4-1 rout of Liverpool at Prenton Park on Sunday.<br /><br />A brace by Olufela Olomola and goals from Sims and Hesketh sealed the win for the Saints, while Ings scored the Reds solitary goal in the 35th minute. <br /><br />Liverpool threatened to fight back until Olomola restored Southampton&rsquo;s two-goal advantage in the 52nd minute when he fired home from close range off a corner kick by Thomas O&rsquo;Connor.<br /><br />On 69 minutes, the former Arsenal youth-teamer grabbed his brace, netting with a brilliant finish into the top corner.<br /><br />Sheyi Ojo, Ovie Ejaria and Bobby Adekanye did not feature for the Reds. <br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel <br /><br />Photo Credit : saintsfc.co.uk <br />
