Tottenham Hotspur U21s returned to action on Tuesday in their final game of the U21 Premier League and failed to finish the game against Manchester United with a flourish, losing 3-2 to the Red Devils.<br /><br />Spurs coach Ugo Ehiogu handed starts to Nigerian duo Joshua Onomah and Emmanuel Sonupe, while Dream Team VI winger Nathan Oduwa was not involved at White Hart Lane.<br /><br />Donald Love and Andreas Pereira put Manchester United 2-0 up before Will Miller and Joe Pritchard leveled matters, and the game was heading for a draw until Guillermo Varela volleyed home the winner in the third minute of stoppage time.<br /><br />Onomah, who was has 18 appearances for the first team of Spurs this term, was lively throughout the game but was not rewarded with any goal.<br /><br />Following the win, Manchester United were crowned champions of the U21 Premier League, while Spurs provisionally occupy fifth place.<br /><br />Igho Kingsley <br /><br /><br />Photo Credit : tottenhamhotspur.com<br />
