Alex Iwobi has been named in WhoScored’s Premier League Team of the Week for Gameweek 27, earning recognition for his influential performance in Fulham’s 3-1 victory over Sunderland at the weekend.
The Super Eagles midfielder delivered a commanding display at the Stadium of Light, registering both a goal and an assist to help Fulham secure all three points in an important away result.
Iwobi provided the corner kick that led to Raúl Jiménez’s opening goal before later finishing calmly to score his third goal of the season and put the result beyond doubt late in the match.
His creativity, work rate, and attacking intelligence were key factors in helping Fulham return to winning ways and end their three-game losing streak in the league.
Iwobi was selected alongside his teammate Raúl Jiménez, who scored a brace against Sunderland, as well as other standout performers from across the Premier League.
Joining Iwobi in midfield are Eberechi Eze from Arsenal, Diego Gómez from Brighton & Hove Albion, and Hugo Bueno from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Elsewhere in the Team of the Week, Dean Henderson of Crystal Palace was named in goal, and Arsenal's Viktor Gyökeres in attack.
