Portland Timbers Adi : Nigerians Are Like Brazillians, We Can Do Crazy Things With The Ball
Portland Timbers striker Fanendo Adi would enter the club’s history books on Sunday if he finds the net against New England Revolution at Providence Park in the MLS.<br /><br />Adi has tallied 45 goals since his arrival from FC Copenhagen in 2014, and needs one more goal to break the all-time goals record by a Timbers player.<br /><br />The attacker believes much of his success comes from a love of the game started while playing on the streets in Benue.<br /><br />“Nigerians are a little bit like Brazilians – we play street football a lot, ” Adi told mlssoccer.com.<br /><br />“In street football you just learn from nature because there’s nobody coaching you, so you do crazy things with the ball.
