Tomori curled a superb shot from more than 25 yards out to open his goalscoring account for Chelsea as they hammered Wolverhampton Wanderers 5-2 on matchday five and the eye-catching strike and seven other goals have been shortlisted for September's Budweiser Goal of the Month.
The former England U21 international has to see off competition from Jetro Willems (Newcastle United), Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), N'Golo Kante (Chelsea), Moussa Djenepo (Southampton), Jeff Hendrick (Burnley), James Maddison (Leicester City) and Aaron Cresswell (West Ham United) to win the accolade.
Tomori had his best scoring season under Frank Lampard at Derby County last term, though he could only score 2 goals in 55 appearances.
Since its inception in 2016, no player of Nigerian descent has won the Premier League Goal of the Month award and Tomori will be hoping to be the first to do so when the winner is announced on Friday, October 11.
