Prolific Chelsea Striker Of Nigerian Parentage On Target For England Ahead Of U21 EURO
England completed their training camp for the upcoming European U21 Championship with a behind-closed-doors friendly against Iceland at St George's Park this past weekend.
The Young Lions thrashed the Nordic country 3-0, with Chelsea striker of Nigerian descent Tammy Abraham registering his name on the scoresheet.
Norwich City winger Jacob Murphy scored a brace for Aidy Boothroyd's side, and the home team won the practice shootout 7-6.
Abraham, 19, would have been part of the England U20 squad at the World Cup, but was elevated to the U21s during the 2016-2017 season on the back of his imperious displays for Bristol City.
His goal against Iceland took his tally to three at that level, having netted twice on his full debut against Bosnia and Herzegovina in October.
England face Joel Asoro's Sweden in their opening game at the U21 Euro on Friday, June 16.
