Manager Mark Warburton has responded to reports emanating from the Turkish press suggesting that Fenerbahce are ready to offer one player to Queens Park Rangers in a swap deal to land the signature of Bright Osayi-Samuel in the January transfer window.
The Nigerian-born winger has agreed a four-year deal with Fenerbahce with effect from July 1, 2021 but the Turkish Super Lig giants want the deal to be brought forward.
Queens Park Rangers are insisting on a transfer fee thought to be in the region of 750,000 pounds before terminating their contract with Osayi-Samuel before its
expiration.
The 23-year-old is expected to travel to Istanbul next week if the two clubs can reach an agreement on a fee.
In quotes carried by West London Sport, Warburton stated : "Bright’s a QPR player until I’m told otherwise. Simple as that.
"In terms of players coming (in exchange), no. That’s news to me."
Osayi-Samuel has been left out of the Queens Park Rangers squad for their last two matches in the Championship amid a possible departure from the Hoops before the close of the winter transfer market.
