Raja Casablanca forward receives Jordan call-up for friendly against Nigeria in Antalya, Turkey

According to Moroccan newspaper La Matin, Raja Casablanca forward Mohammad Abu Zrayq has been invited to join the Jordanian national team’s training camp during the March Fifa international window, as part of preparations for their upcoming friendly matches.

Jordan, who have secured qualification for the 2026 World Cup, have scheduled friendlies against Nigeria and Costa Rica later this month, with the matches now set to take place in Turkey instead of Amman due to recent developments in the Middle East.

Zrayq is expected to depart Morocco on March 21 for Turkey to join Jordan's training camp and will return to Raja Casablanca on April 1 following the international window.

The 28-year-old, who is a teammate of Nigeria forward Mathias Oyewusi at Raja Casablanca, was a member of the Jordan squad for the 2025 Arab Cup and started in the final against Morocco.

Meanwhile, the Jordan Football Association confirmed on Saturday that the matches of the four-team international friendly tournament will be held in the Turkish city of Antalya due to the current situation in the region and the limited movement of people.

According to the tournament schedule, Jordan will take on Costa Rica on Friday, March 27, coinciding with Iran's clash against Nigeria on the same day.

The Super Eagles will face Jordan on Tuesday, March 31, while Iran will also be in action that day.
