FC Midtjylland Boss Comments On Invitation Of Onuachu To Super Eagles
Published: March 06, 2019FC Midtjylland coach Kenneth Andersen believes the invitation of his striker Paul Onuachu to the Super Eagles is well deserved.
The lanky forward has reached the double-digit mark for goals for the Danish champions in each of the last three seasons but was overlooked for national team selection until he was summoned for the upcoming matches against Seychelles and Egypt.
''Now I'm not exactly an expert on the Nigerian national team, but from my point of view it has been underway for a while,'' Andersen was quoted as saying by bold.dk.
''He has played well for a long time, and it is deserved that he gets the chance. ''

If Onuachu is handed his debut by Gernot Rohr this month, he'll follow in the footsteps of FC Ebedei products Obafemi Martins, Femi Ajilore, Sylvester Igboun and Izunna Uzochukwu who have senior caps to their names.
In 29 outings across all competitions this term, the 24-year-old has contributed to 22 goals (17 goals, 5 assists).
